Every chart in an Oncrawl analysis is based on data available in the Data Explorer:
When you click a chart or one of its segments, the Data Explorer opens with the appropriate dataset, filters, and columns already applied.
When you open the Data Explorer directly, you can start from scratch: choose a dataset, build your own filters, and create the table you need.
Open the Data Explorer
From an analysis, click Data Explorer in the left-hand sidebar.
The data table appears directly below the Data Explorer controls.
Choose a dataset
Click Dataset above the table to choose the type of data you want to explore.
Each dataset includes a description of the information it contains. Depending on the features enabled for your project, the available datasets can include:
Pages: Crawl data enriched with data from available sources such as Adobe, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, log monitoring, and Piano.
Links: Links discovered by Oncrawl during a crawl.
Comparisons: Pages: Changes detected between two crawls.
Logs monitoring: Pages: Server log lines aggregated at URL level. Data is available by day for the past 90 days, by week for the past 53 weeks, or by month for the past 24 months.
Logs monitoring: Events: Near-instantaneous server log events from the past 0–90 days.
The available datasets depend on the data sources and analyses configured for your project.
Filter the data
Click Filter to define which items should appear in the table.
Data Explorer filters use the Oncrawl Query Language (OQL). You can combine conditions to target the pages, links, or events you want to analyze.
The number displayed in the selector indicates how many items match the current filter.
For example, Filter: 11,105 pages means that the current filter returns 11,105 pages.

Customize the displayed columns
Click Edit columns above the table to choose which fields appear in the Data Explorer report.
From this menu, you can:
Add columns.
Remove columns.
Change the order of the columns.
Duplicate a column.
You can also open the three-dot menu in a column header to duplicate or remove that column directly.
Removing a column from the table does not delete the underlying data.
Values are displayed according to their field type, making numbers, text, Boolean values, dates, and other types easier to identify.
Sort and filter columns
Sorting and filtering controls are available directly in each column header.
Use the sorting control to change the order of the results. Sorting does not change the number of matching items.
Click the filter icon to filter the values in a column. The available options depend on the field type, such as text, number, date, or Boolean.
Column filters are applied in addition to the global OQL filter shown in the Filter selector. When multiple column filters are active, they are combined.
Calculations displayed beneath a column name are updated based on the remaining filtered results.
Freeze a column
Freezing a column keeps it visible while you navigate horizontally through the table.
To freeze a column:
Open the three-dot menu in the column header.
Click Freeze.
This is useful for keeping an identifying field, such as Full URL, visible while examining metrics located farther across the table.
Open the three-dot menu to unfreeze.
Calculate an aggregate value
You can calculate a summary value for a compatible column.
To add a calculation:
Open the three-dot menu in the column header.
Click Calculate.
Select the calculation you want to apply.
Available calculations can include:
Cardinality
Count
Average
Max
Median
Min
Standard deviation
Sum
The calculation and its result appear beneath the column name. For example, applying Average to the Inrank column can display AVERAGE 0.64.
Save and select a view
A view contains a predefined or saved combination of filters and columns.
Click Select view at the top of the Data Explorer. You can then switch between:
Oncrawl views: Predefined views provided by Oncrawl.
Custom views: Views created for your own analyses.
Use the search field to find a view by name. Click a view to apply it to the Data Explorer.
You can save a custom view by clicking on the 3 dots menu:
You can also delete a custom view directly from the selector by clicking the trash icon beside its name:
Create a crawl alert
You can use the current Data Explorer filter as the basis for a crawl alert.
To create an alert:
Apply the filter that identifies the pages you want to monitor.
Open the main three-dot menu beside Export data.
Click Create an alert.
Complete the alert configuration.
Export the Data Explorer report
Once you have selected your dataset, filters, and columns, click Export data to export the Data Explorer report.
If the export is too large to be delivered immediately, Oncrawl processes it in the background and sends it to the Download center. You can leave the Data Explorer while the export is being prepared.
When the export is ready, you receive a notification. To retrieve it:
Open the workspace menu.
Click Download center.
Find the requested export and download its file or files.
Files in the Download center expire after 30 days.
