Enhance alert precision with ratio-based conditions

With the ratio mode in the alert builder, you can configure alerts that compare two metrics.

Updated yesterday

Step-by-step:

Select Ratio Mode

In the Alert mode section, choose the new “Ratio mode %” card.

Add a target metric

In this mode, you can select a first metric to monitor by clicking on the Add metric button (e.g., slow pages).

Add a reference metric

Click Add metric again to define your baseline (e.g., indexable pages).

Preview the ratio over time

You can adjust the time period drop down to visualize your ratio based on the crawls monitoring window.

Set your threshold

By previewing the ratio charts, you can conclude that around 30% of indexable pages get a Slow or Too slow load time and decide to be alerted if a spike happens.

Below is an example of that what the chart looks like if you want to be alerted if that proportion exceeds 30%.

Create the alert

Next, create the alert by clicking on the Create button in the top right corner.
